CLC Contractors was awarded the £67k Redecoration Contract at Chiswick Nursing Centre.

The Centre specialises in a range of short term and long term nursing care for residents with dementia, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, palliative care, physical frailty and post rehab.

The contract involved complete strip down of the existing paint work on 450 metal framed windows, across the four storey building. The client specified for cradles to be used, instead of fixed scaffolding, due to strict health and safety issues concerning the residents and the general public.

The redecoration was carried out through changeable weather conditions, with down pours of rain restricting the works. Despite the adverse weather the team were able to continually review and adjust the programme, which ensured minimal delays.

Marie Eydatoula, Centre Director, commented: “CLC managed our expectations very well from the initial meeting, right throughout the contract. They had excellent health and safety management; with detailed risk assessments and the conduct of operatives on site. This saved us a lot of time putting together our own risk assessments. They kept us fully informed on the progress of the works and were an absolute delight to work with. The painters were courteous and friendly and interacted well with the staff and residents.”

CLC has over 40-years experience within the healthcare industry and prides itself on providing a tailored service to its public and private healthcare clients.

Dave Martin, CLC Contracts Manager, comments: “Our primary objective was to complete the works with minimal disruption to the Centres residents. We met with the Centre Director, prior to starting the works, to get an understanding of their requirements. Our team is experienced at working within specialist healthcare and performed exceptionally well given the delays with the weather.”
